Liverpool knocked out Arsenal in the third round of the 2023-24 FA Cup on Sunday night at the Emirates Stadium. The Reds scored two goals as the Gunners continued their struggle to find the back of the net and lost their third consecutive game across all competitions. A video has gone viral on social media, where Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez can be seen tapping a fan's head multiple times to celebrate the opener against Arsenal.
Liverpool defeated Arsenal 2-0 as defender Jakub Kiwior's own goal and Luis Diaz's 95th-minute strike helped the visitors qualify for the fourth round. In injury time, Luis Diaz pulled off an absolute stunner to extend Liverpool's lead to two goals and sealed the victory for the eight-time FA champions. The Gunners have failed to win six of their last seven games in all competitions, which is a major concern for Mikel Arteta and his team.
Apart from Liverpool, defending champions Manchester City comfortably dominated the second-tier English side, Huddersfield Town, by 5-0 as Phil Foden scored a brace, while Kevin de Bruyne made his first appearance since August 2023. Among other Premier League sides, Chelsea, Newcastle, Tottenham, Fulham, Brighton, Sheffield, and Aston Villa qualified for the fourth round.
