The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led Chennai Super Kings are hosting Shubman Gill’s Gujarat Titans in match seven of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. However, it was the visiting skipper who won the toss and opted to bowl first, the home side piled up runs in galore to begin their inning.
While skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad added 46 runs during his stay, his opening partner Rachin Ravindra also added as many runs off 20 deliveries. However, Rachin was the first to depart, Rahane survived his wicket with two GT player in David Miller and Vijay Shankar escaping a horrific collision.
Rahane, who was on strike in the ninth over, which was being bowled by Sai Kishore, the Indian batter nudged it towards deep mid-wicket. Miller, who was running in from long on and Vijay Shankar who came from deep mid-wicket, both failed to make a call and collect the ball. In the process, they also escaped massive injury blows, escaping a horrific collision.

Ajinkya Rahane added 12 runs before being stumped by Wriddhiman Saha on the first delivery of the 11th over. However, after 15 overs, the CSK scorecard read 155/3 with Shivam Dube at 36 off 14 and Daryl Mitchell 9 off 8 deliveries in the middle.
