This hasn’t been the first time that Warner decided to change his stance during the match. Since his left-handed batting comes as a restriction while playing against the right-arm off-spinner, Warner has time and again changed his style while playing the spinning wizard.

Australia won the toss and decided to bowl first; the Indian team, riding on the brilliant hundreds by Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer, posted a mammoth score of 399 on the board. The Baggy Greens, who were expecting an explosive start of their innings in a rain-affected game, ended up losing Matthew Short and Steven Smith in the second over itself.

Warner, who came into the game with a relaxed mind, managed to get going and eventually completed his half-century. However, the Aussie’s stay shortly came to an end in the next few deliveries, and was sent back to the pavilion off Ashwin’s delivery. The 36-year-old was dismissed after he scored 53 runs off 39 deliveries.
