Deco and Mateu Alemany, the two men in charge of Barcelona's football operations, have reportedly left the club's summit meeting to focus on the signing of Bernardo Silva from Manchester City. The Portuguese midfielder is one of the main targets for the Catalan club this summer as they look to reinforce their squad after losing Ousmane Dembele to PSG.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Deco and Alemany have contacted Silva's representatives and are trying to convince him to join Barcelona. They are also negotiating with Man City over the transfer fee and payment terms, as Barcelona has financial difficulties because of tight La Liga regulations. Deportivo has revealed a video in which the two are leaving the Barcelona offices in the middle of a meeting to deal with the Bernardo Silva deal.
The La Liga champions are reportedly putting together an offer worth €65 million plus an additional €10 million in variables that are almost certain to be triggered. According to earlier reports, Silva might be willing to force a transfer from Manchester City to Barça if the Catalans made a compelling offer, and the Portuguese star might push for a move out of the club.

Barcelona fans hope Deco and Alemany can pull off another coup by bringing Silva to Camp Nou. Silva would add quality and depth to Barcelona's midfield, which already boasts players like Pedri, Frenkie de Jong, and Sergio Busquets. Silva would also fit in well with Barcelona's style of play, based on possession, passing, and movement. Silva could be the missing piece that Barcelona needs to challenge for the Champions League again.
