The former Indian cricketer, Dinesh Karthik, who retired from the IPL and international cricket a couple of months ago, was asked in an exclusive interview about which celebrity he will pick to swap lives for a week. In response, the 39-year-old took the name of Oscar-winning singer and composer AR Rahman, wanting to see the creativity that goes on his mind.
Notably, after the conclusion of the IPL 2024 season in the month of May, Dinesh Karthik made an announcement about retiring from the tournament and international cricket. Earlier this August, he signed a deal to be a part of Paarl Royals in a playing capacity for the upcoming SA20 2025 season.
During a recent episode of the “HeyCB” series on Cricbuzz, Dinesh Karthik was asked an offbeat question which had no connection with cricket. A fan questioned him, as per the Times of India, “If you could swap lives with any one celebrity for a week, who would it be and what would you do?

In his reply, Dinesh Karthik said, “I would love to swap lives with AR Rahman. (I have) Been his biggest fan, never met him. I would love to see how much creativity goes through (his mind). At the same time, he admitted that there will be sleepless nights for him in swapping lives with AR Rahman, because the Indian icon is known to do so, for creating new songs and compositions.
