In an unexpected crossover, Albanian pop star Dua Lipa answered some of the questions by ace cricketers including the likes of KL Rahul, Kane Williamson, and Shubman Gill. The world-famous singer appeared in a fun segment by the official broadcasters of the ODI World Cup 2023 ahead of the IND vs NZ semi-final clash, where she could be seen answering questions of the Indian and Kiwi cricketers.

Dua Lipa is currently promoting her new single ‘Houdini’, for which she joined hands with Star Sports. The singer, who enjoys a huge fan following across the globe answered questions directed to her by Gill, Rahul, and Williamson. The Indian wicket-keeping batter had asked her to pick a jersey number for herself, to which she said that she would go with ‘22’ as it is her lucky number.

The Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson had asked her favourite song to perform, and she picked ‘Pretty please’ and ‘Love Again’. India’s rising star Shubman Gill was also on the list who asked her to pick two songs, one for the opening ceremony of the ODI World Cup and another for the closing ceremony.
Lipa said that she would go with ‘one kiss’ for either of the ceremonies. Notably, there have been speculations that the 28-year-old can perform at the closing ceremony of the World Cup 2023, which will take place on November 19 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where one of the teams would take the coveted trophy home.

Similarly, like the majority of the senior players, Rahul Dravid and his coaching staff will also get a break. Replacing Dravid and his staff, NCA chief VVS Laxman is set to be the head coach for the five-match T20I series. Assisting Laxman, Sitanshu Kotak and Sairaj Bahutule will be part of the coaching staff during the series.
