Real Madrid registered a dominant 4-0 win in the La Liga fixture against Osasuna at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday, November 9. However, it turned out to be a memorable outing for defender Eder Militao suffered torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during the match. The Brazilian footballer will now undergo a surgery due to which he is likely to get sidelined for several months. However, Real Madrid suffered more blows during the match as Lucas Vazquez and Rodrygo were also forced to leave the field due to injuries.
This was Eder Militao’s second injury layoff in the second consecutive season. His injury came early in the match in an attempt to clear a rebounding ball, but ended up hyperextending his knee. After that, Militao went down signalling stress to his body. Real Madrid itself confirmed that the 26-year-old suffered a torn ACL in his right knee, and he is likely to undergo a surgery in the upcoming days.

Stay strong, Militao: Sergio Ramos shares motivating message for Real Madrid Eder Militao after injury setback
Spanish centre-back Sergio Ramos took to social media to wish his former Real Madrid teammate Eder Miltao to stay strong after the injury setback. Ramos shared a picture of him with Militao on his Instagram story where he wrote, “Stay strong, Militão. You know the way back, you walked it once and you’re going to do it again.” Both Militao and Ramos shared the field for Real Madrid in the past.
With Eder Militao likely to be out of action for the upcoming months, Real Madrid are not looking that strong in defense as they are already missing the services of players like Dani Carvajal, Thibaut Courtois, Aurelien Tchouameni, and David Alaba. Real Madrid will play next game against Leganes in the La Liga at Estadio Municipal Butarque Stadium on November 24.
