During the NBA opening night game between the Golden State Warriors and the Phoenix Suns, an elderly fan was caught on camera, walking off the court at the Chase Center, after she appeared to have collapsed on the sidelines. A video has gone viral on X, in which she waved to the crowd on her way into the tunnel.

The Suns managed to secure a 108-104 win against the Warriors to kick-off their NBA 2023-24 season 1-0, despite missing their shooting guard Bradley Beal through a back injury. Golden State couldn’t play their full-strength team either, because they didn’t have the power forward Draymond Green available due to a calf injury.

After a closely fought first quarter with scores level at 28-28, Phoenix took the lead at the halfway mark by 61-46, thanks mainly to Devin Booker. The moment involving the elderly fan happened with just around 11 minutes to play in the third quarter, when the Suns were ahead of the game with a margin of 62-48.

Steph Curry was instrumental in the Golden State Warriors making a big comeback in the third quarter, to put them in the 86-80 lead. But the fourth and the final quarter belonged to the Phoenix Suns, who went onto register their first win of the season, thanks to Devin Booker’s 32 points, with six rebounds and eight assists.
