In the first session of day three of the Duleep Trophy clash between India A and India B, KL Rahul, who was walking out to bat alongside Riyan Parag, got serenaded by the fans with the “RCB captain” chant at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Notably, the future of Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul is not certain in regards to the 2025 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), especially with Royal Challengers Bengaluru reportedly being interested in bringing him back as the new skipper of the team at the upcoming auction.

Notably, during a recent event, Sanjiv Goenka, the owner of LSG, remarked that KL Rahul is akin to “family,” but the fans haven’t forgotten the image of both these personalities having an animated discussion after a humiliating loss for the team against Sunrisers Hyderabad during the IPL 2024 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. With that, the fans are wondering whether KL Rahul will leave LSG ahead of the next season of the IPL to join RCB as their captain.

Moreover, on day three of the Duleep Trophy clash, KL Rahul, batting for India A, couldn’t add much to his overnight score, getting dismissed for 37 off 111 after Washington Sundar castled him.
