Ahead of the IPL 2023 fixture between Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings in the nation's capital, the Yellow Army had to deal with some delay as they entered the Arun Jaitely Stadium. This delay was caused by the massive fandom CSK has commanded throughout the 2023 season as this possibly could be MS Dhoni's last year.
As per multiple reports, there was disorder on the Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg when the CSK team bus made its way into the stadium 45 minutes before the toss. Fans rushed toward the traffic to catch a glimpse of MS Dhoni and his teammates creating a delay for the Chennai franchise.

But as Super Kings got to the ground, they once again showcased their class by posting a massive total of 223 runs. The opening pair of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway fired and posted a 141-run stand in just 14.3 overs.
Reacting to this stunning batting effort, the CSK batting coach Mike Hussey was extremely elated and delved into the success of the Gaikwad-Conway batting pair. He stated how the duo share a great relationship.
He said, "If you'd asked me if you would take 223 at the start, I would bite my hands off. Good job by Ruturaj and Conway, this is a good score on the board, but we'll have to bowl well. People who played told me this is the best wicket of the season so far, but it did slow down as the ball went soft."
"They've had a special relationship (on Ruturaj and Conway), complement each other well and bring the right-left hand angle as well, this pair has worked well for us. His knee isn't 100% at the moment (on MS Dhoni), so he's managing himself, coming in to bat in the last 2-3 overs. He isn't able to run as well as he did during his heydays, but he's doing things right and hitting the ball really well."
