Francis Ngannou, one of the most accomplished professional fighters, promoted his upcoming boxing match against Anthony Joshua, set to go down on March 8. The official X account of DAZN shared the clip wherein Francis Ngannou was asked about what comes to his mind while thinking about himself, and in response, he said “baddest man on the planet.”
The former UFC Heavyweight Champion took his first steps in the professional boxing world in October of 2023, putting in a credible performance against the WBC World Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury. Although Ngannou lost the match to Fury by a split decision, he earned plenty of plaudits for his showing inside the squared circle, which led to him being considered a legitimate contender in the heavyweight boxing division.
In his sit-down interview with DAZN, Francis Ngannou was given certain names and terms to give his first thoughts about, which turned out to be very hilarious, to say the least. After calling himself the “baddest man on the planet,” Francis Ngannou was quick to say his name out loud when asked about Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, before concluding with calling Johnny Knoxville a jackass.
Francis Ngannou was also happy to boast about his power game and being a champion in the world of fighting.
During an interview with DAZN, the promoter Frank Warren spoke about the upcoming Francis Nagnnou vs Anthony Joshua fight. He was quoted as saying, “I think it’s a big jeopardy fight for AJ. He’s got the benefit of now seeing him (Ngannou) in the boxing ring so you know he can fight and what to expect. But then I think to myself, what is Ngannou going to learn from his first fight? Is he going to improve?”
“If he improves, he is going to be a real handful. We know he can punch; we know he’s strong, he’s tough so I think it’s not a foregone conclusion whatsoever. I think it’ll be a knockout either way,” added Frank Warren.
