The spokesperson of the Police was quoted as saying about the accident, “Kent Police was called at 10.51am to a collision involving three cars. Officers attended the scene where no injuries were reported, and arrangements were made to recover one of the vehicles.”
A resident who was working from home on the morning of the accident said to Kent Online, “It looked like everyone was okay because there were no ambulances. The players got picked up by colleagues in other cars and then the driver [of the BMW] waited. Police were there waiting for recovery, but it looks like the car has been recovered now.”
“It looks like it’s caused a lot of damage. The neighbours are shocked. The guy who lived there was opening his curtains as it happened so he saw it. This road has a school on it. It’s lucky it’s school holiday time or people could have been hurt,” they added.
The head of media and communications of Gillingham FC, Phill Catterrick, declined to share his thoughts on the accident, calling it “not a club matter.”
