Gods Reign announced the departure of its star-studded BGMI lineup for 2023. The organisation had a great season as they won the Villager Esports Pro Invitational 2023 and finished as finalists in the India-Korea Invitational. Apart from this, the team showed great consistency in the last quarter of 2023. With the 2024 season set to kick off, the club decided to bid adieu to the six-month-old team and is expected to reveal the new roster within a few days.

Despite some notable wins, the club faced some setbacks, including that when the club failed to secure a spot in the Grand Finals of the BMPS 2023. As per some reports, the club will now rope in some former players Gladiators Esports for the upcoming esports season. The names that have parted ways with the organisation are Harsh "AquaNox" Rao, Hamza "Blaze" Khozema Hyderabadwala, Shubham "NinjaJOD" Ranjan Sahoo, Mohammed "Owais" Owais Lakhani, and Robin "Robin" Singh Shekhawat.

The club took to social media to post an emotional farewell message for the lineup. In their Instagram post, the club wrote, “As we stand at the crossroads of farewells, reflecting on the journey of this family feels like turning the pages of a cherished book. To NinjaJOD, Owais, Aquanox, Blaze, Robin & Joyboy – you weren't just a team; you were the pillars of our shared dreams and victories.”

The message further read, “In the realm of Gods Reign, we were a family bound by the passion for gaming. The laughter, the challenges, and the triumphs created a tapestry of memories that will forever be etched in our hearts. As this chapter concludes, know that your impact goes beyond the battlegrounds. Here's to the legends who turned Gods Reign into a legacy. May your new journeys be as exciting as the ones we've shared.”

Notably, the Gods Reign acquired their now-former players in June 2023, right after the re-release of Battlegrounds Mobile India in May.
