Melbourne Renegades star and Indian women's team captain Harmanpreet Kaur completed an amazing backwards running catch in the Women's Big Bash League against the Sydney Thunder. The Renegades suffered a big 37-run loss as they failed to chase down the 190-run target but Kaur's catch was a big highlight from the fixture.

The incident occurred as Thunder's Anika Learoyd tried to loft the ball over the 30-yard circle in the 19th over against Sarah Coyte. Learoyd couldn't find the right timing, hence the ball stayed in the air for a long time and allowed Harmanpreet Kaur to run back, put in a full-stretch dive and complete a stunning catch.

The catch wasn't Harmanpreet Kaur's only contribution in the first innings as she picked up two wickets while giving away just 25 runs in her three-over spell. But with the bat, the Mumbai Indians captain had a poor outing as she only managed 13 in 17 balls as the Melbourne Renegades failed to get going in the chase.

Then in the second innings, it was the Hannah Darlington show as the Aussie right-arm medium bowler picked up four wickets and was given the Player of the Match award.
