American social media star Jake Paul took out his opponent Andre August with a thunderous right uppercut to register a first-round knockout in Orlando, Florida. With this win, Jake Paul further improved his record to 8-1 with five knockouts. The triumph over August also signalled the next stage in Paul's boxing career as he looks to establish himself as a cruiserweight title contender.

Coming back to the bout, Paul was looking sharp from the opening bell. Then with 28 seconds remaining in the first round, the Problem Child launched a viscous right-handed uppercut that dismantled August as he immediately went down. Celebrating his opening-round knockout, Paul was seen waving back at August as he languished on the the mat after the uppercut.

Talking about this performance, Jake Paul spoke on how he had manifested this result and went 'night-night' from the opening bell. Speaking in the post-match presser, Paul said, “I said first-round knockout all week, I manifested this. This is the power of manifestation. I’ve been too nice with these people, letting them get into the later rounds. He went night-night. [Next, I’ll fight] more boxing prospects, [gain] more experience, more time in the ring under the bright lights.
