Australian cricketer Jason Sangha took a stunning diving catch in Match 16 of the Sheffield Shield, which was played between New South Wales and Tasmania at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney. The former Under-19 captain, Sangha, who is playing for New South Wales, was stationed at second slip when he took a stunner.
During the Tasmania’s innings, the 24-year-old right-handed batter, dived towards his left and grabbed the ball in air going fully horizontal to send the Tasmania batter, Jack Doran back to the pavilion, having scored 43 off 117 balls. Cricket Australia took to X to share the video of the phenomenal catch with a caption, ““Get your cape on young man!” Here’s Jason Sangha flying for a speccy at second slip”.

Tasmania continue to lead the charts despite 74-run loss against New South Wales
Moreover, talking of the match, Jordan Silk-led Tasmania won the toss and opted to bowl first, putting New South Wales to put the score first. The Moises Henriques-led side put 224/10 in 63.5 overs and later reduced the Tasmanian side to 200/10, with a 24-run lead. The NSW added 118 runs more on the board, eventually winning the game by 74 runs.
While the Tasmanian side will take on Queensland in the next match from February 3 to February 6 at The Gabba in Brisbane, New South Wales will play Western Australia at the W.A.C.A Ground in Perth from 3-6 February 2024.
