In the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 Group A clash between India and Pakistan, Jasprit Bumrah was spotted on camera, breaking a smile, after Naseem Shah bowled a vicious swinging delivery, beating Ishan Kishan all ends up. On September 2, Saturday, Team India are currently batting first against the Men in Green, at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy.
Earlier in the afternoon, Rohit Sharma, the captain of India chose to bat first after winning the toss against Pakistan. His decision didn’t prove to be the best for the Indian cricket team, after they lost four wickets in quick succession.
The top order of Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, and Shreyas Iyer were sent back into the pavilion with individual scores of less than 15 by the Men in Green bowlers. But then, Hardik Pandya joined Ishan Kishan to stage a comeback for Team India with a brilliant partnership of 138 runs for the fifth wicket.
Ishan Kishan, who was dismissed for 82 off 81 with nine fours and two maximums, had a scare early in his innings, when Naseem Shah bowled a full length delivery, which swung into him viciously. On replay, Jasprit Bumrah was spotted reacting to the ball, holding his head before smiling briefly at what had transpired seconds earlier.

This moment woke up the left-handed batter about the challenge posed by the Pakistan bowlers, which he went on to face in an impeccable manner throughout his innings. As of this writing, India are 204-5 in the 38th over, with Hardik Pandya holding fort at 66 off 75, which included three fours and one maximum.
