Legendary India bowler Jhulan Goswami heaped praise on debutant Titas Sadhu after India secured a nine-wicket win over Australia women. Sadhu, who won the Player of the Match after the home favourites beat their guests, interacted with her idol over a video call. In a post-match interview with Smriti Mandhana, Sadhu got the opportunity to interact with Goswami, and the latter praised the young bowler. The 19-year-old credited the former India bowler for her growth in her career.
In a post-match interview, Sadhu and Mandhana video-called Goswami, where the latter said that Sadhu’s bowling had been “Next level” in the match. In the first T20I, the Hooghly-born cricketer left the top Australian batting order in tatters by scalping three crucial wickets. Sadhu dismissed Beth Mooney (17), Tahila McGrath (0), and Ashleigh Gardner (0) to have 3 for 3 in her first two overs. Her fourth success for the night came in the form of Annabel Sutherland, who walked back to the pavilion with a score of 12 runs.

Jhulan Goswami has been a big part of my life: Titas Sadhu
Sadhu credited former India bowler Jhulan Goswami for her growth in cricket. In the post-match conference, Sadhu said, “Jhulan Goswami has been a big part of my life. I first saw her when she was 13, and she has been in constant presence. Right now she is with Bengal, which I am supposed to probably join after this series. Working with her is a great opportunity; not a lot of people have it, and you get that experience.”
She added, “In the first conversation I had with Jhulan di, she had told me, ‘Stop thinking about everything else, just bowl fast. If you are a fast bowler, you have to bowl fast,' and I think that has been a key.” Sadhu went on to say, “The best part of cricket is every day is different. The most important thing is the presence of mind and how you adapt to get optimal results.”
