Jimmy Uso slapped Gunther on Monday Night WWE RAW held on March 24. Jimmy emerged as Jey's mystery tag-team ally for his tag-team contest against Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. Backstage, Uso taught a lesson to Gunther as the Ring General again strove to attack Jey Uso post-match. Gunther will defend his title against Jey at Wrestlemania 41, to be held on April 19-20, at the Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.

Jey has emerged as the number one contender for WWE World Heavy Championship after emerging victorious in the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble contest by eliminating John Cena. He failed to depose Gunther from the top spot at Saturday Night’s main event. Zilla Fatu also conveyed a message in reaction to Jimmy’s slap to the reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Reacting to Uso’s slap, Zilla Fatu, a son of Umaga aka Eddie Fatu, took to X and gave his views regarding Jimmy’s slap against Gunther. The 25-year-old wrote, “He just slapped the YEET out of him! #WWERaw.”

Jey will endeavour to win championship for the first time

Jey Uso has displayed diligence in his 18-year wrestling career but has failed to claim the title of WWE World Championships numerous times. In 2024, he was triumphant in the Intercontinental Championship after tasting victory against Bron Breakker but couldn’t win against the defending champion.

Jey has added some notable achievements to his wrestling profile such as being a four-time WWE Raw Tag Team Champion and a six-time SmackDown Tag Team Champion. He also won Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
