The first Test between Pakistan and England has so far been run fest for both sides. After England posted a mammoth 657 in the first innings, Pakistan batters returned the favor as the openers scored centuries and stitched a 225-run partnership to frustrate the English bowlers. The pitch so far has offered nothing for the bowlers and the England team seemed desperate to produce something out of nowhere.
Former England skipper Joe Root was seen using a unique method to shine one side of the ball for a reverse swing. Root was seen shining the ball on Jack Leach's head after the end of over to maintain the shine of the red ball from one side.

Twin centuries from openers frustrate England
Pakistan openers Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq scored centuries to provide a brilliant start after England's onslaught in the first innings. Shafique scored 114, while Imam scored 121 as the duo stitched a 225-run partnership for the opening wicket. England finally got rid of both batter courtesy of Jack Leach and Will Jack.
