After dominating the first day of the final Ashes Test, Australia opened Day Two with 61 at a loss of one wicket. Australian batters Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne resumed batting for the team with Khawaja on 26. As the Baggy Greens looked forward to having a promising day ahead, Labuschagne was compelled to return back to the pavilion after his stay of 82 balls off.
Labuschagne's wicket came in the 43rd over when Joe Root took a dive to his left to catch a Mark Wood delivery. It ended Labuschagne's stay of nine runs off 82 deliveries.
