Australian all-rounder Cameron Green was ruled out of the first ODI between South Africa and Australia after being hit by a mean Kagiso Rabada bouncer. Bowling first, the Aussies put forth a stunning effort and bundled out the hosts at 222. For South Africa, captain Temba Bavuma carried his bat to score a stunning century.
In the second innings, Proteas started with a full head of steam and reduced Australia to 38 -2 in 5.1 overs. Moments later, Green misjudged a Rabada short ball which hit the all-rounder straight onto his head. As the medical staff came into the middle and evaluated Green, he was soon taken off as Marnus Labuschagne came on as a concussion substitute.
