The inaugural edition of Major League Cricket 2023 is underway in the United States. The sixth match of the MLC 2023 saw the LA Knight Riders score the lowest total of the tournament so far as they were bundled at the score of 50 in 13.5 overs, courtesy MI New York’s all-round performance.

However, what caught the eyeballs was an all new celebration from MINY skipper Kieron Pollard. The 36-year-old who seemed confident in the match against LAKR, pulled out an Erling Haaland-like celebration as he dismissed compatriot Andre Russell. The celebration took place on the fourth delivery of the tenth over when Pollard reviewed it after wicketkeeper Nicholas Pooran went for a loud shout.

As a part of the celebration, Pollard ran and then stopped to fold one leg and emulate the famous yoga pose celebration after he dismissed his former West Indies teammate for the third time in his illustrious T20 career.

Seattle Orcas top the standing; MINY sit at second place

After the 105-run win over LA Knight Riders, MINY stand at the second place, only behind Seattle Orcas. While the MI-based franchise has two points having won one match and lost one, SEO are two points clear with four points, having won both their matches so far.

The Kieron Pollard-led side will now face Faf du Plessis’ Texas Super King on July 18 (IST) at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas.
