On Sunday, July 14, Kuldeep Yadav, the Indian cricketer, was in attendance at the Olympiastadion in Berlin for the UEFA Euro 2024 final between Spain and England. Prior to the start of the big game, the 29-year-old gave a pitch side interview, where he accurately predicted the final scoreline in favour of Spain, 2-1 over England.
Kuldeep Yadav, who is quite an avid fan of football, shares his unfiltered views on the social media platform X for his favourite club Barcelona from time to time. His favourite footballer is Lionel Messi, who also played a key role in Argentina’s Copa America title defence last night, defeating Colombia 1-0 after extra time.
When the host of Sony Sports Network asked him about all things UEFA Euro 2024 final between Spain and England, he remarked, “Both teams are playing really well at the moment. Spain has been really well throughout this tournament. If they play like that, the way they played all the games, I'm sure they can easily pass through England. But, the final is always tough (to predict), but I am supporting Spain and I think they will go past England and win 2-1.”
Spain win UEFA Euro 2024 with 2-1 margin over England
In the UEFA Euro 2024 final, Spain scored the opening goal at the start of the second half through a clean strike from Nico Williams. England responded with a left foot curler in the far corner from Cole Palmer in the 73rd minute, but, Spain took a 2-1 lead in the 86th minute through a one touch finish inside the six-yard box from Mikel Oyarzabal.
Marc Guehi had a header on target for England in the closing stages of the Euro final, but Dani Olmo cleared it off the line to ensure Spain walked away with the big win. This was the fourth UEFA European Championship win for Spain, the most among all the nations in Europe.
