The IPL 2023 fixture between Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants witnessed a strange incident as PBKS all-rounder Liam Livingstone completed a catch which was given a six. After a blistering start by Kyle Mayers, Aussie star Marcus Stoinis continued the carnage with sublime hitting.
In the 13th over of the first innings, Stoinis took on leg spinner Rahul Chahar and conceded a dot ball on the first ball. Then on the next delivery, Chahar sent out a ball into the slot which was carved by the big Australian towards the long-on boundary.
As the ball was seemingly flying over for six, Livingstone popped up to take the catch. But unfortunately for Punjab, the Englishman moved on step back and touched the boundary skirting. Disappointed with his mishap, Livingstone was seen indicating the ball had gone for a six.

After this maximum, Lucknow Super Giants continued their big-hitting batting and went on to post the second-highest total in IPL history - 257 runs. In the mid-innings show, LSG's Ayush Badoni talked about his and his team's performance.
Badoni spoke about how the team wasn't thinking about the score and was focusing on scoring bug runs of bad balls. He said, "Was feeling really good. Was waiting for this opportunity (batting at 3) since so long. When I went in the wicket was really good. I was just told to play my shots. We were not thinking too much about the score. Just wanted to put away bad balls. My mindset was very blank."
