Lionel Messi and a few of his teammates avoided a massive accident as they were celebrating Argentina’s FIFA World Cup 2022 win in Buenos Aries. In Qatar, La Albiceleste took down the defending champions France to win their third World Cup at Lusail Stadium. The summit clash saw a thrilling 3-3 scoreline at the end of the extra-time but Argentina squeezed through in the penalty shootout where Emiliano Martinez once again emerged as the hero.
After reaching Buenos Aries , the team was on top of an open-roof bus parading through the Argentine capital. Here, Lionel Messi along with Nicolas Otamendi, Angel Di Maria, Leandro Paredes and the World Cup trophy almost fell off the bus as they nearly entangled with electricity cables leading to a terrible accident. But no one was harmed as La Albiceleste continued their celebrations.

Adding to these celebrations, the Argentine Government decided to announce a national holiday for December 20. Similarly, the Obelisk in Buenos Aires was allotted a fiesta where the country can come together and celebrate the humongous achievement with the team. The Government also made some travel restrictions for the smooth proceedings of the parade.
Traffic restrictions announced by the Government said, “Neighbors who want to see the passage of the players are requested to do so from the closest point to their homes according to the reported route, the bus will not stop anywhere. The transfer of the players will continue to march and there will be a special security operation.”
