Dallas Mavericks points guard Luka Doncic possibly suffered a nose injury after getting hit by Grayson Allen. Mavericks locked horns with Phoenix Suns at American Airlines Centre and secured a 123-113 win over their counterparts. Doncic, who was on the nose injury report, ended the night with a game-high 41 points, along with 11 assists and nine rebounds. His on-court heroics helped his side Mavericks extend the winning streak to seven games.

The 24-year-old almost had a near-double in the game, but he ended up aggravating his facial injury after getting hit by Allen. With just two minutes left in the game, Allen missed a reverse lay - up against Doncic. As the two players aimed for a rebound, the Suns guard ended up hitting Doncic right in the face with his fans. Doncic fell on the ground and a foul was called on Allen.

Illegal contact committed by Allen: Referee Kevin Scott after review

Match referee Kevin Scott called Allen hitting Doncic ‘illegal contact’ after the review during the game. After the foul was called, the Suns challenged the call but had no success as Allen had contact with Doncic’s face, which Scott called ‘too much to ignore’. Scott said, "Call on the floor stands. The challenge was unsuccessful. Illegal contact was committed by Allen. It's too much to ignore."

Talking about the game, Doncic and Kyrie Irving combined 70 points to lead the side to another astonishing victory, marking the seventh consecutive win. While Doncic finished with 41 points, Irving recorded 29 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists.
