On Tuesday, January 16, McLaren became the first team in F1 to unveil its livery for the upcoming 2024 season. The driver lineup of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri is going to take the 2024 livery, carrying the “popular and exhilarating colours of papaya and anthracite,” to build on the impressive second half of last season.

McLaren also brought back the fan-favourite elements from the OKX’s Stealth Mode livery, embedding it alongside the iconic chrome, which was widely carried by them from 2006 to 2014 seasons. The 2024 livery is going to feature McLaren’s valuable partners, some of the biggest world brands and organisations continuing to “support the team both on and off track.”

The second half of the season was fruitful for McLaren which saw the duo of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri register nine podiums to their name, along with a Sprint win and four Sprint podiums. The team also went on to create history by accomplishing the world record pit stop time of 1.8 seconds in the 2023 season.

The video from McLaren about unveiling their 2024 livery on their official X account was captioned, “2024 McLaren livery: LAUNCHED! Introducing our new look for the 2024 F1 season! #WhateverItTakes”.

The CEO of McLaren Racing, Zak Brown commented on the latest development and said, “We’re delighted to launch our 2024 Formula 1 livery ahead of the new season. The design looks awesome, and I can’t wait to go racing and see it come to life on track next month.”

“We didn’t start 2023 as we wanted but Andrea (Stella) and the team did a great job following the organisational restructure coming into action, and the hard work continues as we carry that excellent momentum into the 2024 campaign,” he added

Andrea Stella, the Team Principal of McLaren remarked, “After a busy and productive off-season, we head into 2024 with our sights set on continuing our journey towards the front of the grid. Last year allowed the team to set a strong foundation for the future through continued hard work, commitment, effort and talent.”
