Argentina and Inter Miami captain Lionel Messi expressed his frustration on camera over the Major League Soccer’s (MLS) rule to be sidelined for two minutes before entering the pitch following the injury treatment. Messi was forced to remain outside for two minutes after he had an injury treatment in their game against Montreal on Saturday night.
The visitors Inter Miami sealed the game by 2-3 owing to exceptional efforts from Matias Rojas, Luis Suarez, and Benjamin Cremaschi, who netted one goal each. Messi didn’t score a goal in the match but stole the limelight when he was forced to go down in the 40th minute of the match after opposition defender George Campbell fouled the eight-time Ballon d’Or.
The 36-year-old returned to the sidelines of the ground in the 43rd minute of the match after taking proper treatment but was forced to remain on the side of the pitch for two minutes. Expressing his displeasure over the decision, Messi faced the camera and made a weird expression through the camera.
