Boxing icon Mike Tyson dropped a threat for Jake Paul with his new training video ahead of their highly anticipated clash. Tyson will battle it out with a 30-year-old younger Jake Paul on July 20 at the AT&T Stadium, which will be exclusively streamed on Netflix. While some fans and other boxers have criticised the fight, others are excited to see the 57-year-old Tyson taking on the ring. Tyson started preparing for the fight earlier this week and has been regularly posting videos from his training sessions.
Tyson dropped footage from day three of his training and issued a cold warning to Paul. The video showcased Tyson’s sharp and quick moves despite his age. Towards the end of the video, Tyson turned to the camera and asked, “Day three, you still wanna f*** with me?” The video was uploaded on his social media channels and was accompanied by the same caption.
Jake Paul responds to Mike Tyson’s warning ahead of fight
The former YouTuber responded to the video posted by Tyson and replied to the post by saying, “Yes, yes I do.” It seems that 27-year-old Paul wasn’t intimidated or concerned by the threat by Iron Mike. Notably, Tyson hasn’t participated in a non-exhibition bout since June 2005, and couldn’t win a fight since 2003. Jake Paul, on the other hand, boasts a record of 9-1 as a boxer, and his major wins have come against athletes who are not primarily boxers.
Speaking of Tyson, his return to the boxing ring has created a buzz on social media for all the wrong reasons. Several pundits including Stephen Hughes, a senior lecturer of medicine at Anglia Ruskin University issued a warning regarding Tyson’s health risks associated with the fight.
