The moment happened after RCB got the better of CSK by 27 runs in the final league stage match of the IPL 2024, reaching the playoffs due to their better NRR.
Going into the highly anticipated IPL 2024 match, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who had won five matches in a row, had a tough task to win by 18 runs or more or chase down a total with 11 or more balls to spare, to make it through to the playoffs. After posting a big total of 218 runs, RCB managed to restrict CSK to 191/7, confirming their IPL 2024 playoff spot.
In the viral video after the IPL 2024 match between RCB and CSK, Chris Gayle acknowledged the salute of Mohammed Siraj in the presence of the Kannada actor and director Rishab Shetty. Widely known as the Universe Boss, Chris Gayle was one of the greatest batters for Royal Challengers Bengaluru during his tenure with the team from 2011 to 2017 in the IPL.
