Legendary Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni has started his preparations for the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League. The Chennai Super Kings' skipper was seen batting at the nets recently.
Dhoni, who only plays in the IPL after international retirement in 2020, was seen playing some aggressive shots in the nets. Notably, the 2023 edition is likely to be MS Dhoni's last IPL and fans are hoping that the 4-time IPL champion could lead his side to their record-equaling fifth IPL title in his final season.

In the last three IPL seasons, MS Dhoni has failed to score runs for his side. The 41-year-old wicketkeeper batter scored only 200 runs in IPL 2020 season, 114 in 2021 season, and 232 runs in last year’s edition.
CSK had a horrible outing in 2022 season as the side finished in ninth place. The franchise spent big on England all-rounder Ben Stokes, shedding Rs 16.25 crore in the IPL 2023 mini auction that took place in Kochi last month. With the addition of Ben Stokes and return of Deepak Chahar, the side is favourites to win the title this season.
