The 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is turning out to be an entertainer with some teams setting new records. With a lot going on in the 2024 edition, one of the major talking points has been MS Dhoni’s future in the cash-rich league. However, all remains to be speculations until the man himself, MS Dhoni does not open up on the same. In the latest things, former CSK star Suresh Raina, along with his Indian teammate RP Singh, shared big updates on Dhoni’s future in the league.
Talking on Jio Cinema's Hindi commentary stream during the RCB vs SRH match, the duo was asked if this will be MSD’s last season. While RP Singh took his time and said, “lag to nahi raha”, he passed it on to Suresh Raina, who recently met MS Dhoni on the sidelines of CSK’s 20-run win against Mumbai Indians. The Chinna Thala of CSK, Raina just dropped a confident one-word reply, stating “Khelenge”.

However, Singh was quick to react to Raina’s confidence as he said, “ek bola hai toh do khelenge”. The answer to future of MS Dhoni with CSK only lies with the 42-year-old wicketkeeper-batter as he now plays as a pure wicketkeeper and fulfils his duties as a finisher.
Talking of the 2024 edition, Dhoni has scored only 59 runs from the four innings at a strike rate of 236 so far. His highest score of 37* came against DC in Vizag, but he played a memorable four-ball 20 against the Mumbai Indians to help his side register a convincing win.
