As spotted on cameras, Ziva ran towards MSD from the boundary rope and warmly hugged his father as everyone around Chepauk, including the fans and players, watched both of them in awe.
CSK defeated DC by 27 runs after setting a target of 168 runs for the visitors. Shivam Dube, who scored the highest runs for CSK, and MS Dhoni's quick-fire knocks proved to be a difference between these two sides on Wednesday.

The 41-year-old himself batted at number 8 for CSK and scored a quick-fire 20 of 9 deliveries with two massive sixes and a four. With every boundary from the bat of Dhoni, the entire Chepauk was in a celebratory mood, including his wife Sakshi and daughter Ziva.
In their bowling innings, CSK gave a quality performance from start to finish. They picked up the wickets of DC captain David Warner, Phil Salt, and Mitchell Marsh, three of the top-order overseas batters inside 4 overs. Riley Rossouw and Manish Pandey did stitch together a 59-run stand for the fourth wicket, but when both batters got out in quick succession, the Delhi line-up capitulated. They got to 140/8 in their 20 overs to hand CSK a comfortable win at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium.
