During New Zealand’s innings, on-field umpire Aleem Dar got hit by a throw from Muhammad Wasim Jr. and looked in extreme pain. The pacer who is known for his strong arm aimed at the stumps but the ball instead hit Dar’s ankle and the umpire looked frustrated. He threw the jacket he was holding. Meanwhile, Naseem Shah was seen giving a rub on the spot Dar was hit.
Dar was later seen explaining that he was worried about the two New Zealand batters running on the pitch.
