Bangladesh batter Najmul Hossain Shanto brought out a special gesture to celebrate his century in the Asia Cup 2023. The 25-year-old cricketer hit his second ODI century against Afghanistan in the fourth match on September 3. In the Sunday clash of the ACC tournament, which is undergoing its 16th edition, Bangladesh took on Afghanistan in Lahore, Pakistan.

The Bengal-Tiger skipper Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and invited his rivals to bowl first. Shanto, who came to bat on fourth, hit his second ODI century in 101 balls, with a combination of seven fours and two massive sixes. The cricketer specially celebrated his century by blowing a kiss with his bat and pulling a 'rock-a-baby' gesture. 

Though the intent behind the same remains hidden, the unique action by the batsman surely caught his fans' attention. However, Shanto got dismissed shortly after his ton and went back to the pavilion after scoring 104 off 105 balls. 

Apart from Shanto,  Mehidy Hassan Miraz also scored his second century. It took him aorund 115 deliveries to complete his ton. However, soon after his 100, the cricketer walked off the field due to a cramp in his left hand. Fiery centuries from both the players guided Bangladesh to put up a target of 335 runs.
