Brazilian footballing icon Neymar Jr. was seen gruelling in pain as he continued his recovery from a massive injury to his ACL and meniscus on his left knee.  Neymar was hurt while on international duty a month prior. The Al-Hilal star suffered this injury during a World Cup 2026 qualifier clash against Uruguay on October 18 which Brazil lost 0-2.

With over two months since his knee injury, Neymar has started his road to recovery which hasn't looked comfortable with the 31-year-old seen crying and screaming in pain as he undergoes treatment. In a video posted by the user, Ghostface1357, on Reddit, Neymar was seen battling pain during his recovery.

Recently, as per the Brazilian men's team's doctor, the 31-year-old’s injury will see him miss the Copa America 2024. Neymar is scheduled to return to fitness in August. Talking to Brazilian radio station Radio 98 FM, national team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar said,  "There won't be time, it's too early, there's no point skipping steps to recover sooner and taking unnecessary risks."

"We expect that he will be ready to return at the start of the 2024 season in Europe, which is in August. We need to be patient. Talking about a return before nine months is premature.  It is very important to have the time it takes for the body to build that ligament. The expectation is that after this time, he will have recovered at a high level."
