Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) middle-order batter Nitish Kumar Reddy was seen losing his cool after losing his wicket against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Batting first after losing the toss, SRH posted 190/9 runs on the board. Their top-order batters Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan failed to produce impactful knocks as both departed within the first three overs of the game. With Hyderabad reeling at a score of 15/2, Reddy’s responsibility was to stand in the middle and support his senior teammate Travis Head, who was playing brilliant shots from his bat. However, Head also lost his wicket while attacking bowlers but Reddy stood at one end of the crease.

Reddy, who came to bat in the third over of the match, recorded his presence until the 15th over of the innings but could score only 32 runs after confronting 28 balls. Eventually, spinner Ravi Bishnoi cleaned him up and concluded his innings. On his way to the dressing room, the 21-year-old looked rankled and hurled his helmet on the ground.

Hyderabad fail to defend the 190-run total

SRH couldn’t secure the total as LSG top-order batters Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran stood tall and bashed bowlers all over the ground. After Aiden Markram’s early dismissal, Marsh and Pooran built an effective 116-run stand to push the game in their team’s favour.

Pooran struck a 26-ball 70 while his Australian teammate also clobbered 52 runs off just 31 deliveries. Abdul Samad made a magnificent cameo with his swift 22-run inning that came in just eight balls. Lucknow completed the chase in the 17th over and added two points to their profile. Earlier, Shardul Thakur handed momentum to LSG with his four-wicket haul. Thakur became the player of the match for his sensational bowling display.
