Indian top-order batter Suryakumar Yadav has been in incredible form and has lit up the ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia with an extravagant range of shots. This magical stroke play has persuaded fans to give him the Mr 360 nickname which the Mumbai-born batter has respectfully declined.
Suryakumar Yadav was asked about this tag but was quick to play it down as he believes, only South African cricketing stalwart AB de Villiers, has wowed the cricketing with his outlandish skill and ability. Regarding his god-gifted talent, an old video of one of ABD’s crazy shots has been going viral.
The video is from the 2012 season of the Indian Premier League from a game between A B de Villiers’ Royal Challengers Bangalore and the then Delhi Daredevils at the M.Chinaswamy Stadium. Facing former Indian international Irfan Pathan, ABD reverse sweeped a high full-toss ball over the third-man boundary for a six.
Going back to Suryakumar Yadav’s comment, SKY was speaking to Star Sports after his Player of the Match performance against Zimbabwe and said, “There is only one 360-degree player in the world, and I will try to play like him." the original Mr 360 AB De Villiers later took to Twitter to react to these comments and said, “You’re very quickly getting there dude, and even more! Well played today.”
