Ahead of the highly anticipated men’s javelin throw final at the Paris Olympics 2024, the Pakistan cricketers wished their fellow countryman Arshad Nadeem all the best in his quest to win the gold medal. Notably, one of the biggest battles in the men’s javelin throw final is expected to be between Arshad Nadeem and his Indian counterpart Neeraj Chopra, the reigning Olympic and World champion.
During the Paris 2024 men’s javelin throw qualification at the Stade de France, Neeraj Chopra registered the best throw of 89.34m in his first attempt, to become one of the 12 finalists in first place. Arshad Nadeem finished in fourth place after throwing the javelin 86.59m, behind Anderson Peters of Grenada and Julian Weber of Germany.

With an impressive outing in the men’s javelin throw qualification, Arshad Nadeem is in the picture in regards to winning a medal at the Paris Olympics 2024. Before the final is set to go down on Thursday night, August 8, the cricketers from Pakistan wished best of luck to Arshad Nadeem, hoping to see him win a gold medal.
Shan Masood, the captain of the Pakistan Test team remarked, as per the Times of India, “First of all, Arshad Nadeem, congratulations on qualifying for the final. Our best wishes and prayers are with you. We are eagerly waiting and hope that you will win a medal for Pakistan.”
Apart from Shan Masood, the likes of Saud Shakeel, Babar Azam, Naseem Shah, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and the coaching staff member, Umar Gul, also wished Arshad Nadeem all the best for his men’s javelin throw final appearance at the Paris 2024.
