Australia are taking on Pakistan in the third and final Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground. On the third day of the ongoing Test, the match saw a brief halt due to a bizarre reason. After 70 overs, the Aussie scoreboard read 178/2 with Marnus Labuschagne (57) and Steven Smith (32) in the middle.
However, getting ready to face the first ball of the 71st over, Steven Smith found himself getting distracted by a piece of tape that was present on the white screen down the ground. This led to causing a near five-minute delay in the proceedings.

In the meantime, a member of the groundstaff at the SCG attempted to clear distraction, the commentators were also left in splits after finding that it was just a piece of tape behind this halt.
Ian Smith, who was part of the commentary panel, chuckled and said, “You think you’ve seen everything.” Michael Vaughan also said, “Surely it’s not that little thing there, surely not.”
Soon after the tape was removed, Smith and Rizwan shared a glove punch and as the spectators echoed the stadium in loud cheer. Speaking of the match, Pakistan at stumps on Day 3, had taken a lead of 82 runs with Mohammad Rizwan (6) and Aamer Jamal (0) in the middle.
