It was in the extra time when Wales' centre-back Joe Rodon put his head on the line to deny Turkey's captain Burak Yilmaz an opportunity to score the equalizer. As Yilmaz was checking on Rodon who was down on the ground, Wales' duo of Ben Davies (No. 4) and Connor Roberts (No. 14) pushed Yilmaz which angered the Turkey captain. He got up and went straight to Ben Davies and the duo was involved in a heated tussle.
The experience Portuguese referee Artur Soares Dias took charge of the situation and managed the whole situation brilliantly. While Burak Yilmaz and Ben Davies received yellow cards for their actions, the referee also booked defender Chris Mepham who was also later involved in the fight.
