Prithvi Shaw is currently away, in England, playing in the Royal London One-Day Cup for Northamptonshire. He has set the stage on fire already, as he played an outstanding innings of 244* in his previous match. He carried his form into the next match against Durham too, as he smashed another century in just 68 balls this time.

Durham won the toss and elected to bat first at the Riverside Ground. But the move did not come to fruition, as they were bundled out for 198 in 43.2 overs by Northamptonshire. Luke Procter led the charge, picking up four wickets at an economy of 3.78. Shaw opened for Northamptonshire and took on the Durham bowling from the start. He brought up his half-century with a bang, as he smashed two consecutive sixes when he was on 38*. He completed his fifty in just 40 deliveries.

The youngster continued the onslaught and kept batting aggressively till the end. He reached the three-figure mark in just 68 deliveries and brought up his second century in just four games. His ton consisted of 14 boundaries and four sixers. When one run was required to win, the 23-year-old smashed a huge six and sealed the game for his team. He ended the match on 125*(76).

Northamptonshire thus won the game by six wickets with 145 deliveries to spare.  He is now the leading run-scorer in the tournament with 429 runs in four innings at an astronomical average of 143. The second leading scorer on the list is Shaw’s compatriot Cheteshwar Pujara with 329 runs.
