Abhishek Sharma, Indian opening batter, smashed a big six out of the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg off the bowling of South African pacer Andile Simelane during the fourth and final T20I of the series. The 24-year-old, who got his first T20I fifty after quite some time in the previous match for India, took the attack to the South African pacers in the powerplay as he nailed a maximum out of the ground.
After winning the toss, the captain of India, Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and decided to bat first with the visitors looking to win the four-match T20I series as they have a 2-1 lead currently. Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson, the Indian opening pair, who have the licence from the Indian team management to put the attack on the opposition from the get go, did it in style.

The beginning of the fifth over of the power play stage from Andile Simelane was with a ball in the slot on the leg stump, to which Abhishek Sharma charged down the track, giving himself enough room to loft it over the deep cover fence. The ball ended up landing on the roof of the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg before going out of the ground, and in the next over, Abhishek Sharma was dismissed for 36 off 18 with two fours and four maximums.
