The Delhi Capitals had a great start despite being relegated from the IPL 2023 playoffs race as they eye to spoil party of several other franchises include that of the Punjab Kings. After being invited to bat first, the DC opening pair of Prithvi Shaw and David Warner added crucial runs before the Australian top-order batter was dismissed at the score of 46.

His partner at the top, Prithvi Shaw, who was picked up after being dropped and substituted in several games also added some important runs as he smashed 54 off 38 deliveries. Shaw reached his first half-century in the ongoing edition and celebrated in the most epic ways, video of which is now doing rounds on social media.

It is to be noted that Shaw gestured with a ‘M’ after reaching his half century in 36 deliveries. While it was his first 50 in the ongoing edition, he also smashed his first six of the IPL 2023.
During the mid-inning interaction, Shaw added that he’s feeling good and added that it takes a lot of hard work for this. “Definitely, after long (feeling good). Sometimes you have to work hard for it. This was the match, I had to work hard, you get the credit later,” Shaw said.
