Delhi batter Priyansh Arya emulated former India star all-rounder Yuvraj Singh and smashed 6 sixes in an over in the ongoing Delhi Premier League 2024. Arya recorded the knock in the match between South Delhi Superstarz and North Delhi Strikers at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Saturday, August 31. Arya stunned the Indian cricketing sphere with his big-hitting skills by scoring 120 runs in just 50 balls with a combination of 10 fours and 10 sixes.

The 23-year-old cricketer plays for Ayush Badoni-led South Delhi team, and he hit six maximums in the 12th over, delivered by Manan Bharadwaj. Owing to Arya’s knock, Bhardwaj’s figures soared to 0/60 in just two overs. With his feat, Arya became the only third Indian batter after Ravi Shastri and Yuvraj Singh to slam six maximums in an over.

This was not it as Arya’s exceptional innings didn’t stop at the six sixes and by the 15th over, reached his century. This marked his second century of the season. Before this, he amassed an unbeaten 107 off 55 balls against Purani Dilli 6. With his knock, as well as Ayush Badoni’s century, the South Delhi Superstarz breached the 300-run mark and posted a mammoth total of 308/5 in 20 overs.

Ayush Badoni emerged as the highest scorer with 165 runs in just 55 deliveries, whereas Priyansh came up with 120 runs. On the other hand, North Delhi Strikers’ Siddhartha Solanki picked three wickets while conceding 52 runs.
