Indian bowling great Ravichandran Ashwin shared a heartwarming moment with a couple of young fans as the Rajasthan Royals left for Mumbai for their upcoming IPL 2024 fixture. Ashwin has started the 2024 season on a positive note with the off-spinner picking up one wicket against the Lucknow Super Giants and scoring a vital 29 against the Delhi Capitals.
Ashwin came into bat when RR were struggling at 36-3 and then the veteran off-spinner showcased his batting prowess smashing against Kuldeep Yadav and Anrch Nortje. Ashwin's cameo took the Royals to 90 before getting out.

Alongside these on-field performances, Ashwin has emerged as a fan favourite for his presence on social media with his YouTube lives. Hence as the RR squad left for Mumbai for their first away game of the season, two young fans were spotted calling for Ashwin at the Jaipur Airport. The 37-year-old responded by asking them to come for an autograph and picture.

Ashwin also made the headlines for his comments defending Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya, who has been facing strong criticism from the fans in the stadiums and on social media. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Ashwin said, "People should remember which country these players represent. It's our country. Fan wars should never take such an ugly route. I've said it many times, this is cinema culture, that happens only here."
