Manchester United under Dutch manager Erik ten Hag have shocked their opposition time and again in the Premier League 2022-23 season and recently the Red Devils stunned Chelsea as Casemiro scored a late equaliser to hold the Blues on a 1-1 draw at the Stamford Bridge. However, United star defender Raphael Varane has suffered a gruesome injury in the Saturday's game.
Casemiro headed a stoppage time equaliser to salvage a point for Manchester United after defender Luke Shaw latched a cross into the box from the right corner outside the box.
During the 57th minute in the game against Chelsea, Raphael Varane stretched his legs to challenge the Blues forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. However, the centre-back, who has sustained quite a few injuries since his transfer to the Old Trafford, fell down on the pitch as it appeared that he has injured either his ankle or knees. Medical staff rushed towards the injured defender with a stretcher, but the defender broke down in tears and walked off the pitch on his own.
