India are taking on Australia in their ODI World Cup opener at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on October 8, Sunday. The Rohit Sharma-led side were invited to field first after Pat Cummins won the toss. While the Aussies were going high with Steven Smith looking to stitch a long partnership with Marnu Labuschagne, the former got the victim of Ravindra Jadeja.

The Indian spin all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja who was recalled into the attack to bowl the 28th over, got a crucial wicket of in-form batter Steven Smith. With swing going on the side, Jadeja’s brilliant bowling drifted in and went towards the leg stump to clip the top of off stump, giving India their third breakthrough.

What was followed was Steve Smith’s reaction. The Aussie acknowledged the greatness of the delivery with a wry smile, which is now doing rounds. I t is to be noted that Ravindra Jadeja has dismissed Steve Smith twice in ODIs, having bowled 188 deliveries at an average of 110.00. Jadeja later on went to dismiss Marnus Labuschagne and Alex Carey int he 30th over of the Australia inning.
