Indian batter Rinku Singh smashed a window of the media centre at St George's Park in the second T20I against South Africa. After being asked to bat first, the Men in Blue got out of early trouble as both openers - Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal were out for zero. Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav, earlier with Tilak Varma, and Rinku Singh rebuilt the innings.

The duo stitched up a crucial 70-run partnership but after  Suryakumar Yadav's Rinku held on end up and continued playing quality strokes. As the match entered the slog overs, Singh changed gears and targetted Aiden Markram, who came up to bowl the 19th over. 

After a quiet first four balls, Rinku smashed  Aiden Markram for a six toward wide  long-on. The Indian batter launched the South African captain for another maximum down the ground which went straight into the media centre and broke the window.

After this massive over, South Africa came back into the fixture as fast bowler Gerald Coetzee picked up two wickets (Ravindra Jadeja and Arshdeep Singh) on his first two deliveries before the match was stopped due to rain. The first inning was halted at a score of 180-7 as Rinku Singh remained not out at 68 in 39 balls with nine fours and two sixes.
